About
TYLER HERALD (he/him/his) is a New York City-based scenic, environmental, and production designer originally from the Midwest.
Recent work includes La Calisto, Cali Opera Program at Montclair State, Rusalka, Opera Idaho, and Odd Man Out, an environmental experience and installation at the Sheen Center for Thought and Culture.
Broadway credits include: Associate design for A Wonderful World, Studio 54, Designer Adam Koch and Assistant design for Cats: The Jellicle Ball, Broadhurst Theater, Designer Rachel Hauck; The Great Society, Lincoln Center, Designer David Korins.
Tyler holds an M.F.A. in Scenic Design from University of Maryland, College Park.
He is a 2025 recipient of OPERA America’s Robert L.B. Tobin Director-Designer Prize alongside team members Rebecca Miller Kratzer, Anisa Rose Threlkeld, Stacey Boggs, and Camilla Dely.
He is a proud member of United Scenic Artists, Local 829.
